College Board Opportunity Scholarships

What is the College Board Opportunity Scholarships?

The College Board Opportunity Scholarships program guides you through the college planning process and gives you the chance to earn money for college along the way.

This program is open to all students, regardless of citizenship status, and it isn’t based on GPA or test scores—the program rewards you for the work you’re already doing to apply to college. Students whose families earn less than $60,000 per year get an exra entry for every step they complete and receive double the chances at earning scholarships.

Who can qualify for an Opportunity Scholarship?

The program is open to all students who attend high school in the United States, Puerto Rico, and other U.S. territories—regardless of GPA, test scores, citizenship status, and family income—no matter what their plans or goals are after high school. U.S. citizens and residents attending Department of Defense Education Activity schools abroad can also take part.
